Big Pine Canyon Campground offers two group campground sites located near the Sierra Nevada’s largest and southernmost glaciers, which the two campsites are named after, (Clyde Glacier Group Site and Palisade Groupe Site). Both campsites site along the Big Pine Creek and offer great vistas. Popular activities include: fishing, hiking, backpacking, and climbing. Two popular trailheads are located nearby, the North Fork Trailhead and South Fork trailhead, both of which lead to glacial fed lakes with great views of the glaciers in the area. The Clyde Glacier campsite can accommodate up to 25 people, and the parking includes a 35-foot space and six 20-foot paved spaces. If you are looking for tent camping, Palisade Glacier campsite can accommodate 25 people for tent camping. Campfire rings and grills are provided at both campsites. Nightly rates are $75 and reservations can be made in advance.

This day use area is located at Eastman Lake, which is a 1,780 surface-acre lake that sits amongst the rolling hills and oak trees of the Sierra Nevada Range. Here visitors will enjoy great views of the surrounding mountains and various recreational activities. Eight miles of trails for hiking, biking and horseback riders are available to visitors. Visitors also take advantage of the fishing opportunities on Eastman Lake. Drinking water, picnic areas, boat ramp, flush toilets, horseshoe pit, playground and volleyball courts are all available here as well. Daily fees are $30 to reserve a picnic area.

Located at an elevation of 4,600 feet inside Kings Canyon National Park, Canyon View Group Sites sit amongst a cedar and ponderosa pine forest at the south fork of Kings River. This area is known as Cedar Grove and offers great views of tall cliffs faces, waterfalls and rivers. Visitors to the area have numerous recreational opportunities, the most popular activities are rock climbing “North Dome” and “Grand Sentinel”, hiking the trails in Cedar Grove, horseback riding and fishing the Kings River. This campground is located near Convict Lake, between Mammoth Lakes and Bishop, California. Here visitors can enjoy access to many outdoor recreational activities. Fishing for rainbow and brown trout in the creek or the lake is a popular activity for visitors as well as hiking the 3.5 mile Lake Trail that can be accessed directly from the campground. This campground is located in the lower elevation of Sequoia National Park at an elevation of 2,800 feet in the Sierra Foothills; the landscape here is well shaded with large oak trees and chaparral.
