This campground is located in the lower elevation of Sequoia National Park at an elevation of 2,800 feet in the Sierra Foothills; the landscape here is well shaded with large oak trees and chaparral. Wildlife in the area include the american black bear, bobcats, mule deer and various bird species. Buckeye Flat Campground is one of the more easily accessed tent-only campsite in Sequoia National Park, and offers a great starting point for exploring the park’s world famous sequoia trees and/or hiking and backpacking opportunities. This campground has 27 reservable tent-only sites which offer picnic tables, fire rings, and food storage lockers. Flush toilets and drinking water is also available within the campground. Nightly rates are $22. Reservations can be made 3 days in advance.
