A short, but scenic trail through a portion of Mingo Creek County Park, this trail is an out-and-back route that follows next to the creek. Near the beginning of the trail is the bright red Ebenezer Covered Bridge. The trail turns around at the Henry Covered Bridge, also a bright red color.

The bloodiest battle of the Civil War took place in Gettysburg from July 1 to July 3, 1863. In November of the same year, President Abraham Lincoln gave his famous Gettysburg Address in the same location. This ride takes you back in time with fences, cannons and even rocks that have not been moved, as well as monuments, towers and displays that guide you through history. The area is gorgeous and this ride takes you on a comprehensive tour of the area along the gently rolling hills.

Starting at the dam on the south end of the Pymatuning Reservoir, this mostly flat ride makes a clockwise loop around the entire reservoir along the coastline. Built in the 1930s to control flooding in this once swamping area, the reservoir is now a popular recreation location. Known as the premiere biking flatland destination, there are various picnic spots, beaches, restaurants and campsites along the way to split up the ride.

Valley Forge, where George Washington and 12,000 troops had a 6 month encampment during the Revolutionary War, is a remarkable part of heritage of our country. This ride takes a loop around the location where 2,000 troops died from disease and severe winter conditions, but also where the army became trained and efficient. This route leads to all of the important sites in Valley Forge and allows for a short and easy continuous ride or one that you can stop and enjoy the tourist sites. Bikes can be rented at the park if needed.

This is a large loop right originating in Ohiopyle that offers difficult climbs through the Laurel Highlands and goes through many scenic areas and cities. The ride begins by heading north through Mill Run and then turning east at at Normalville. While heading east is the first of two long, steep climbs, this one going through Laurel Hill State Park. At New Centerville, the ride begins to go southwest through amazing scenery including Humbert Covered Bridge. Climbing back up into the highlands, the ride heads back to Ohiopyle, ending with a fun descent into town.

Winding along the shoreline of Lake Arthur in Moraine State Park, this paved bicycle trail is located in the northwest corner of the park. The views along the trail are gorgeous year round of the lake. The trail and surrounding hills also are filled with trees along many portions of the route that bloom in spring and display amazing colors in the fall. This is an out and back route, but could also be done as one way.

A loop from Strasburg, home of America's oldest short-line railroad, this ride has many interesting attractions and gorgeous scenery. The first part of the ride follows a portion of the train route that runs from Strasburg to Paradise. From Paradise, the ride heads south and begins a climb through a lush forest. A great descent follows as you head back toward Strasburg. This is one of the most beautiful rides through farmlands with low traffic.

Through a remote region of Pennsylvania, this ride is a loop from the small town of Benezette. Following the Sinnemahoning Creek for a slight downhill for almost the first half of the ride, the route then begins the ascent up the Wykoff Run Road into the Quehanna Wild Area. Through a very low traffic area in the Elk and Moshannon State Forests, the ride follows along the Allegheny Plateau before an exciting descent back down and along the Medix Run. This area is well known for elk herds.

A loop ride from the city of Speedwell, this is actually the course for the Lancaster YMCA Triathlon. This is a very beautiful and hilly ride along country roads. Except for the beginning of the ride through forest, most of the scenery is farmland and small towns, but it is a very gorgeous ride with low traffic on most roads.

A very remote and low population area, this ride goes through Perry Country as a loop from Little Buffalo State Park. The ride goes through forests and farmlands with very little traffic. There a couple climbs and descents as the loop nears Middle Ridge Road in two separate locations. These are not long hills and do provide great views of the farms and the state park. The start and finish is next to Holman Lake and also a large refreshing swimming pool. This ride is gorgeous in the fall.
