In the Allegheny National Forest, Minister Creek Trail begins at the Minister Creek Campground and create a loop through the Minister Creek area. The trail climbs to the plateau above the creek and then descends and crosses the creek to loop around on the other side for the return. The hike is through a gorgeous wooded forest on a well-maintained trail that features great views of Minister Creek and passes by several interesting rock outcroppings.

Known by many as the best hike in Pennsylvania, the loop around Ricketts Glen has 22 named waterfalls and a dozen or more unnamed falls. The hike follows pathways of shale, dirt roads, stone steps, ledges and wooden bridges. This route follows through the ravine of Kitchen Creek and also passes through Glens Natural Area with exotic flowers under an old-growth forest. This hike is not to be missed with the 94 foot Ganoga Falls and 21 other falls ranging from 15 to 49 feet.

Known as the Niagara of Pennsylvania, this trail leads to Bushkill Falls and a series of 8 other waterfalls in the Pocono Mountains. Despite this being a highly popular hiking trail, this is one of the most beautiful places in the state. The trails have bridges for lookouts of the waterfalls and are very well maintained. The largest, Main Falls is a 100 foot drop.

Hiking in the park is primarily done along Wissahickon Gorge, located in the north part of the park.
