Rausch Creek Off-Road Park is a designated place for off-roading in a Jeep, truck or SUV. They have 3,000 acres of trails ranging from easy to difficult. Some of the features include rock, bowls, hills, and free, on-site camping. There is a two-vehicle minimum to run trails so make sure you bring a friend. The trails are rated as Green (easy), Blue (moderate), Black (hard).

Shafer Road Trail begins from the SR Trailhead and is part of the Martin Hill ATV Trail System in Buchanan State Forest. This trail has a variety of terrain and difficulty with some easy sections and more difficult. It is closed to motorcycles and all ATVs must be registered and insured.

Mountain Ridge ATV is a large park designated for ATV and Motorcycles. They offer over 2500 acres of riding with a mix of difficulty levels that include 40 miles of singletrack, mud pits, extreme climbing, and gently rolling hills. Camping and cabin rentals are also available. A fee is required to ride here and be sure to check rules and regulations. Mt. Laurel is one of the more difficult trails in the park.

Located in Hyner Run State Forest, this route follows Benson Trail and down to the viewpoint of Hyner State Park. Some sections are open for joint use by snowmobiles and motor vehicles. Other trails branch off and you’ll pass a few trailheads.

Susquehannock State Forest has a variety of ATV trails to explore. This trailhead is located off State Route 44 just below Patterson State Park. It is a loop through thick forest and passes by Sumken Branch Trailhead and has additional spur trails to explore.

Located in Loyalsock State Forest, this trail follows Little Bear Creek Road which is a joint-use trail used by snowmobiles and motor vehicles for a while. There are 2-3 turn spur roads that offer more exploring and are designated for snowmobiles only.

Simon B. Elliott State Park offers beautiful winter scenery for snowmobiling and cross country skiing during the winter months. This trail follows Fourmile Road and then turns down McGeorge Road. It is open to snowmobiles only. There are other trails that connect to it for additional exploring.

The off-road trails at Darkwater offer a fun place to test out your off-road vehicle and play in the mud. The trail is pretty easy with some rocky sections and possible mud if the weather is wet. Trails are not well marked but there are a variety of options for riding. The trails are also open to hikers so be cautious when driving.

Located in Tiadaghton State Forest, this trail follows Slate Run Road and then Francis Road. It is a joint-use trail used by snowmobiles and motor vehicles so extra caution is advised.
