This ride starts from the quaint village of Cornish and travels south through beautiful rural countryside and forested terrain of southwestern Maine. The ride travels near a historic bridge in Porter over the Ossipee, the Parsonfield Seminary, the Willowbrook County Museum, and some charming old homes in North Parsonfield. The ride also provides some excellent views of the nearby mountain scenery. The terrain is challenging with lots of hills and narrow country roads with no shoulders, making the ride best suited for experienced riders.

Grafton Notch State Park offers some of the best scenery in all of Maine. Another worthwhile point of interest along the ride is the Lovejoy Covered Bridge which was built in 1867 and is the shortest covered bridge is Maine. The terrain has some challenging sections through remote areas and is best suited for experienced riders.

The payoff however is fantastic as the summit of this spin is the highest point in New England and offers incredible three hundred sixty degree views of the surrounding White Mountains. The Mt Washington Auto Road is a toll road and a parking permit is required in the White Mountain National Forest.

It begins on White Mountain Road and descends the Jackson side of the pass and then bends back north through Crawford Notch. The route continues around the northern foot of the Presidential Range and returns to the beginning through Gorham. This ride is very strenuous with several long challenging climbs. A parking permit is required within the White Mountain National Forest.

You’ll descend quickly too and eventually arrives at the Androscoggin River. Following the Androscoggin upstream you’ll pass through Gorham and begin climbing White Mountain Road taking you through Pinkham Notch. From Pinkham Notch begins the long fast coast back to North Conway and your Vehicle.
