Block Island is situated 20 miles east of the eastern tip of Long Island and offers a unique and enjoyable biking destination for the adventurous. The ride on Block Island includes sea travel by ferry from Montauk, New York out to the island which is technically part of the State of Rhode Island. Once on the island, riders will enjoy many scenic attractions and water views. The ferry services from New York are provided by Viking Ferry Lines. Some of the lakes featured on this hike include Glen Rock Reservoir, Yawgoo Mill Pond, Hundred Acre Pond and of course Worden Pond. Be apprised that although the ride is mostly without traffic but there may be a spot or two with some moderate traffic.

This is a great destination for a leisurely ride along the ocean. You will travel through quiet countryside roads to world-famous mansions. The route follows the coastline for some time with great views over the water and also weaves through some parks and forested areas. You will also get the chance to explore some of the kettle ponds that are typical in the area. This route is flat and easy to cruise along and is especially great off-season when summer traffic has disappeared and you have more room and can avoid the crowd.

Beginning in the northern part of the city of Pawtucket this road biking adventure will take you through city streets and on up to the wilderness of the northeastern corner of the state. Featured are urban, suburban and pristine forest views. You will pass, ride along and over two beautiful reservoirs, Diamond Hill and Arnold Mills Reservoirs. The roads in the northeastern corner display the forest beautifully with maple, ash, birch, oak and pine trees.

This road biking adventure runs through some busy streets in the coastal towns of Bristol, Warren, Riverside and East Providence. You get spectacular views of the coves and water inlets as you ride over the water on several bridges along the East Providence Bike Path. Some of the other highlights include Brickyard Pond, Bicknell Park, Squantum Woods State Park and Metacomet Golf Course. Be apprised that this can easily be done as an out and back as well.

This road biking adventure offers a secluded ride through remote wilderness. Some of the features of this ride include lakes, pristine forest areas, wildlife and the small town of Wyoming. Trees that line the roads include maple, oak, ash, birch and pine. Some of the lakes that you will see include Wyoming Pond, Locustville Pond and Baily Pond. Be apprised that the trail will take you into Connecticut.

This coastal cruise offers some spectacular seaside views. You are also likely to see some wildlife and beaches, as well as ride passed a couple coves and lakes (Bluff Hill Cove, Silver Lake, Money Pond and Sprague Pond). Wildlife that you may see include a variety of waterfowl. Also featured is Point Judith and it's lighthouse. Be apprised that while most of the ride is on low traffic roads there may be times and places where there is some moderate traffic.

Bodies of water that you will ride by include Slatersville Reservoir as well as Primrose, Todds and Trout Brook ponds. Be apprised that there might be an area or two with some moderate traffic.

Beginning at Sprague Playground this road biking adventure takes you through urban, suburban and a few forested areas. Some of the features of this ride include lakes, coastline, beach, a waterfall and forest. The lakes featured include Davol Pond, Greenwich Cove, Gorton Pond, Sand Pond and more. As you cross the Potawomut River you will pass by Forge Falls.
