Little Mill Campground offers a pleasant area for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing during the winter. It is groomed and maintained by the Forest Service. You will enjoy charming winter scenery with the river on one-side and cliff walls on the other. Snowshoers must stay off the ski tracks.

Staying in a winter hut is a fantastic way to experience winter camping. The route to reach Tomasaki Hut follows Geyser Pass Road, which is a dirt road that is closed to vehicles during the winter. The road is a highway for access to the La Sal backcountry terrain during the winter. Reservations are required in advance to stay in the huts. Begin at the Geyser Pass Snow Park where there is a plowed lot and restrooms. The road is groomed periodically and wanders through open meadows and glades with majestic peaks as a backdrop.
