This trail is skyline road. It is a very popular trail with cross county skiers and snowmobiles. It has great views and is a fun and challenging trail.

Little Mill Campground offers a pleasant area for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing during the winter. It is groomed and maintained by the Forest Service. You will enjoy charming winter scenery with the river on one-side and cliff walls on the other. Snowshoers must stay off the ski tracks.

This Trail follows the road that is closed in winter. It starts in aspen grove and ends up on the other side of the mountain. it has great views of both the Heber and Utah Valleys.

Staying in a winter hut is a fantastic way to experience winter camping. The route to reach Tomasaki Hut follows Geyser Pass Road, which is a dirt road that is closed to vehicles during the winter. The road is a highway for access to the La Sal backcountry terrain during the winter. Reservations are required in advance to stay in the huts. Begin at the Geyser Pass Snow Park where there is a plowed lot and restrooms. The road is groomed periodically and wanders through open meadows and glades with majestic peaks as a backdrop.

Located up Farmington Canyon this offers rolling terrain and follows Skyline Drive up to the summit ridge of Bountiful Peak. This road and area is popular with snowmobiles so plan on sharing the road. The low elevation of this trail means you’ll need a lot of snow pack for a successful trip.

This route follows Swan Flats Road, which is closed to motor vehicles during winter months. It offers spectacular winter scenery with views of the Bear River Range. Follow the packed down road all the way to Swan Peak if you like. Snowmobiles are permitted here so plan on sharing the road.

This winter trail gives access to Limber Flag Yurt, which is a primitive lodging facility available for rent year-round from the forest service. You will wind through the trees where snowmobiles are prohibited creating a beautiful winter setting away from civilization. Expect some difficult hill climbs that exceed a 10% slope.

Stewart Falls is a classic family hike located on the east side of Mt. Timpanogas. The trail leaves from the Aspen Grove Trailhead and is well-marked and easy to follow. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the beautiful two-tiered waterfalls that are over 200 ft. tall.
