Otter Creek Campground lies on the southern end of the reservoir. They offer single sites and 1 group site that can accommodate up to 100 people. Some sites are back-in and there are some that are pull-through. Showers, restrooms, a launch ramp, firepit and table are available. Visitors enjoy boating, fishing, bird watching and the convenient access to ATV trails. The nightly rate starts at $20.

Lone Rock Beach Campground is located on the shores of Wahweap Bay, next to Lone Rock. It is accessible by vehicle and offers primitive camping. There are no designated camping so guests camp on the beach or nearby sand dunes. Jet Ski’s and boats can be anchored at the beach but there is no launch ramp. Wahweap launch ramp is about 8 miles away. Campers have access to outhouses, cold showers, and potable water. If you camp more than 200 yards from the outhouses, you are required to bring a porta-potty. Fines are enforced if you don’t follow this rule. The fee is $10 per car.

Located at an impressive 10,400 feet, Mirror Lake Campground sits on the shores of Mirror Lake Highway in the Uinta Mountains. A forest of white fir trees surround the lake and offer shade in some parts. Temperatures stay cool during the hot summer months. The campground offers single sites, double sites, group sites and even equestrian sites on a separate loop. All roads and parking spurs are dirt. Some of the popular activities that visitors enjoy are fishing, canoeing, hiking, backpacking, horseback riding and biking. The nightly rate is $20.

Located in the Island of the Sky district of Canyonlands, Willow Flat Campground offers 12 sites on a first come, first serve basis. Each site contains a picnic table and fire ring. Drinking water is not available on site but at the visitor center spring through fall. Campers do have access to restrooms. The cost per night is $15.

This campground is located in Honeyville at the popular Crystal Hot Springs. Sites are grassy with trees around but close together. Tent sites are available with a maximum of 2 tents per site. They also have RV/trailer sites with full hookups and a max length of 35ft. Expect large crowds on the weekends. Pets are allowed but must be leashed at all times. The nightly rate does not include the pools. Rates start at $30 per night. Crystal hot springs has hot and cold mineral water pools and is a great family place to visit.

Site A holds up to 40 people, site B up to 20 people and site C 30 people but is across the Highway in a side canyon. Nightly rates start at $60.

A boat ramp is located in the campground and gives you easy access to the river. Group sites are available but they are not along the river. Some of the favorite activities to enjoy are hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, four-wheel drive trails, rock climbing and visiting the charming town of Moab. Gusty winds and summer thunderstorms are common so be prepared and keep your tents and gear secured.
