Vulture's Knob is a privately owned but open to the public mountain bike trail system that hosts competitive racing annually. It is offers 125 acres and is open year round. The trails are man-made with the mountain biker in mind and the trails are considered the most technical in Ohio. You will find several short and steep hill climbs with short, tight turns a few log bridges that with error will leave you swimming. The trails are well marked and can sometimes flood.

Located in Mountwood Park, this loop is made with the majority of the parks singletrack trails. This loop has only one hike-a-bike section as well as many uphill sections with rewarding downhills. There are some technical features along the way like, shaved logs, bridges, and rocks. All the trails are well marked and maintained. The trails are open year round offering four seasons of riding through scenic, rocky woodlands, as well as the historic ruins of the nineteenth century oil community of Volcano.

Denison University Biological Reserve is 350 acres of land to enhance the education of students in biology and environmental sciences through their courses. The reserve provides refuge for numerous amphibians, turtles, snakes, rodents, flying squirrels, deer, red fox and over one hundred species of birds. The trail doesn't have any real technical spots, just sharp turns and some short climbs. The trails are well maintained with great opportunities to see wildlife and birds.

Maumee State Forest is located 15 miles southwest of Toledo. The area is flat with fine yellow sand and dark soil. The trails are open to motorcycles, mountain bikes and snowmobiles. This east side trail has a series of jumps, banked turns and some small hills that give a roller coaster feeling. Trails are posted as one-way travel in some sections.
