Lake Minatare SRA is a beautiful natural area in western Nebraska that encompasses almost 3000 acres including a 2100-acre lake, a federal waterfowl refuge, and Nebraska's only lighthouse. The Butte view Campground is situated on the northeastern shoreline and features 49 sites that can accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs. Each site has a picnic table, fire pit, and electric hookup. Additional amenities include drinking water, restrooms, showers, and a boat ramp. All of the sites are available first come, first serve and start at $25 per night. The area also offers many dispersed primitive sites along the shoreline. Primitive sites are $10 per night.

Toadstool Geological Park is a scenic area situated in the northwest corner of Nebraska known for its unique rock formations and fossil deposits. The forest service park offers a small campground that features 6 sites for tent and RV camping. Sites are equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, grills, and access to vault toilets. There is no drinking water available. Sites are $5 per night during May-November and free of charge the remainder of the year. Sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Two Rivers State Recreation Area is a 622-acre park located on the banks of the Platte River as it makes its way through the rural outskirts of Omaha. Sharp's Outfitters is located right on the banks of the Niobrara River as it makes its way through northern Nebraska. The outfitter offers access to the river, tubing and paddling trips, equipment rentals, and a campground. The campground can accommodate tents and RVs.
