Millers Pond State Park is a heavily wooded and beautiful park. Mountain biking here is excellent, but difficult; the trail is also used for hiking so be aware. Be apprised that the area is hunted, so it will be important to know when the hunting dates are. Millers Pond is another feature of this adventure and is excellent for trout and smallmouth bass fishing, for any interested.

There is quite an extensive network of trails in Huntington Park that offer a good mix of smooth carriage roads and single track trails. The forest is beautiful in this area and as the trail snakes through the woods you will encounter some pristine ponds all of which add to the great scenery. Be apprised that there are sections of the trail with exposed roots, and larger rocks. Also, you will come across some ramps, a bridge and some sketchy drops.

It also offers one of the best biking experiences in all of Southern New England. Some of the features of this ride include wooded trails, views of the Poquonnock River, the Long Island Sound and Mumford Cove; you are also likely to see a variety of different wildlife. Be apprised that the trail may be crowded on holidays and weekends.

Ninham Mountain Multiple Use Area is a tract of land that is open for all types of recreational activity and is accessible by dirt road. The dirt roads are used for snowmobiling during the winter and for hunting access in the fall. During the rest of the year when hunting is not allowed, however, they provide some enjoyable mountain biking opportunity. The roads in Ninham Mountain MUA offer some small challenging climbs but the road conditions are almost always suitable for riding.
