Branch Brook Campground is situated just outside of the boundary of Black Rock State Park in the quiet outskirts of Thomaston. Lone Oak Campsites is situated in the Berkshire foothills region at the base of Canaan Mountain in northwestern Connecticut. Taconic State Park is located along the Taconic Mountain Range and offers excellent opportunities for outdoor recreation including hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing, and camping. The state park is divided into two developed areas; Rudd Pond Area and Copake Falls Area. The campground near Rudd Pond offers almost 40 tent sites that are each equipped with a fire pit, picnic table, and tent platform at some sites. The other campground amenities include a comfort station with flush toilets and showers, a dump station, and playground. The cost per site is $18 per night. Reservations can be made online up until the day before arrival. Some sites may be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Seaport RV Resort is an all-ages camping resort located just north of the coastal shoreline and popular Mystic Seaport. The campground features sites that can accommodate tents and RVs. Each site has a picnic table and fire rings. Green Falls Campground is situated on the northern end of the Green Falls Pond and offers a rustic and scenic setting for camping in Pachaug State Forest. A boat launch is also located nearby. There is no drinking water available at the campground. The sites are $17 for residents of Connecticut and $27 for out-of-state visitors.
