This hike takes you a large hill covered with wildflowers on the south side of the quaint Jersey Valley Lake. The lake is surrounded by good marsh development and beautiful lake shore trees. From the dam, you’ll head up the eastern slope of the lake on a heavily wooded hillside before descending to the northern tip and a wetland. From there, you’ll button-hook back along the western shore and ascend to an overlook. You will then descend again to the boggy western tip before hiking through a pine plantation, across the park road, and down a steep ridge back to the parking area.
