The trails at Governor Dodge State Park are consistently cleared of debris and overgrowth throughout the year by rangers and volunteers. There are two main loops open to bikers, both offering incredibly scenic views and challenging terrain. This loop starts off on the north side of the Cox Valley picnic area and climbs an incline out of the parking lot up into the forest. The trail weaves in and out of the woods as it circles the entire perimeter of the meadow that dominates the center of the park. Magnificent views of Lost Canyon are present, and at times, the trail rolls right out to the edge of the sandstone cliffs. The second half of the ride is over wide dirt paths through the forest that borders the northern edge of the park.
