This segment of the paved Spokane River Centennial Trail crosses to the south side of the river at the Meenach Bridge, then follows the river northwest through Riverside State Park past some unusual rock formations, such as the Bowl and Pitcher in the Spokane River. At times, the trail diverges from the riverside to descend the step-like plateau edges formed by erosion. Parts of this segment of trail are contiguous with a lightly-traveled park road. There are good views of the river for most of the route.
