The trails at Beacon Hill connect three small parks in the hilly, lightly forested terrain northeast of Spokane. Parking is available at any of the three parks: Esmeralda Golf Course/Minehaha Park, John C. Shields Park, and Camp Sekani. There are dozens of trails in the system, ranging from jeep roads to singletrack, providing a virtually infinite combination of loops. The track shown here traverses the entire area and visits its main attractions such as the Minnehaha Rocks, popular with climbers, and the summit of Beacon Hill, where there are fantastic views of Spokane and the hills and vallesy surrounding it. There are technical features under construction (in 2012) in the Camp Sekani property at the eastern end of the network. The trails are multi-use, so be aware of other users.
