Beginning at the mouth of Logan Canyon, this section of the Logan River flows through the city. It is still scenic and a fun paddle. The banks are lined with cottonwood trees in some areas. Watch for diversion dams. Some can be run at the right water level. There are two nice drops and one that creates a good hole. The second one can be portaged but you’ll be stepping on to private property. The river becomes overgrown nearing Main Street with almost a canopy of trees covering you at times.
