Located along the Wellsville Range, Box Elder Peak is the highest summit of the three and the 27th highest in Utah. There are two Box Elder Peaks in Utah; the other is in the Central Wasatch. This route follows the Rattlesnake Trail and is the standard and most direct route to the peak. The trailhead is located in Sardine Canyon. The trail can be overgrown and hard to follow if you don't really pay attention.
