Located along the Wellsville Range, Box Elder Peak is the highest summit of the three and the 27th highest in Utah. There are two Box Elder Peaks in Utah, the other is in the Central Wasatch. This route travels up Coldwater Canyon. It is steep but has the least amount of elevation gain of all the routes. The trail is well-maintained and easy to follow to the ridge. The summit is a pile of boulders.
