There are few different ways to get to the trail, and it's an easy hike for those planning on multiple day trips in the area. The route starts near Maud Creek at the end of the Maud-Dan Ridge Trail in the scenic Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. It follows Storm Creek on a well maintained trail with mostly level terrain. It then ends at the confluence of of North Fork Storm Creek.
