This route follows the Lower Trail in its entirety from near Canoe Creek State Park and Williamsburg almost to Alexandria in Huntingdon County. The trail is made of crushed limestone, except for a paved section through Williamsburg. Mostly flat, the Lower Trail is open year-round for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and bird watching. When there is snow cover, cross country skiing and snowshoeing are popular along the trail.
