This portion of the Delaware River is fast flowing and sports a section with rapids that, depending on conditions, can range from class II and up. This section of rapids is called Skinner's Falls. If canoeing, it is highly recommended to portage around them on the right bank. Another obstacle to be aware of is eel weirs that act as strainers to catch eels. These are avoidable by paddling along the side without portaging - but when in doubt, portage. Both put-in and take-out locations are convenient with parking and boat ramp.
