Starting at the Magone Lake Campground, this loop will take you around the Malheur National Forest area surrounding the lake. There are some rises in the route, but mostly gradual inclines and declines throughout. Some of the sections are paved, but most of the route consists of dirt roads. Magone Lake is a popular place for fishing and many wildlife are seen around the lake and forest including deer, beaver, muskrat and numerous birds.
