This quiet and well-maintained trail leads to the top of Baldy Mountain in the John Day Valley. The hike is relatively easy and provides views of the valley to Dixie Butte and the Elkhorn Range, as well as Strawberry Mountain. Wildflowers abound in this trail, as the entire hillside of Baldy Mountain is a meadow that can be filled in early summer.
