Girdled Road Reservation is named for the historic road that runs along the north end of the park. The park offers a variety of habitats. It protects wildlife and is designated as an important birding area. Oak Leaf Loop is the longest trail in the park and travels through large sections of forest along Big Creek . There is an option for a shorter loop where you can see some of the biggest trees in the park.
