This hiking adventure allows you to get close up views of the rugged terrain and splendid cliffs at the classic anorthosite cliffs. Much of the trail is lined with birch and fir trees with pine, oak, aspen and even maple interspersed in the forest. The views from the section 13 cliffs are stunning and well worth the vertical climb of over 500 feet. Wildlife that may be seen in the area including moose, beaver, bear, bald eagle and timber-wolf. Be apprised that dogs are to be kept on a leash while on the Superior Hiking Trail.
