Gooseberry Falls State park, near the North Shore of Lake Superior offers a beautiful hiking adventure. This is arguably the most popular state park on the North Shore. The park is known for its five amazing waterfalls, Lake Superior shoreline, structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. and a variety of wildlife. The lakeside picnic area, called Picnic Flow, is a wonderful place to visit and have lunch. Be aware that you will need to purchase a parking permit to park your vehicle in the state park.
