This paved section of the White Pine State Park Trail system runs through both suburban and rural settings between Reed City and Big Rapids to the turnaround at Northend Riverside Park. The terrain is fairly level along the way with just a few small changes in elevation. Northend Riverside Park provides additional paved trails that lead down to the river as well as lots of picnic areas making it a good resting spot before turning back. The White Pine State Park trail system continues for many miles in both directions providing riders with the option of adding mileage or riding a different portion of the trail.
