This trail travels through the remote backcountry of Pere Marquette State Forest to the small, well-hidden Lost Lake. The lake offers clear waters surrounded by wooded bluffs that result in a scenic setting. There are additional loop trails that connect to this hike giving visitors the option of a longer day hike or overnight backpack trips in the area. The trails in the area are marked with colored marks on trees that can be hard to see so pay close attention at trail junctions and obtain a trail map if hiking additional trails in the area.
