This 62-mile crushed limestone pathway travels through Michigan's scenic north woods passing through multiple small towns, lush woodlands, rural farmlands, and along the scenic shoreline of Lake Huron. This section starts in Vanderbilt and travels north through mostly peaceful rural farmland and open green space along the Sturgeon River up to the community of Indian River and Burt Lake. The trail is almost completely flat and easy to follow and can be ridden for a much shorter distance if desired making it a good option for riders of all skill levels.
