This rails-to-trails pathway travels through multiple small towns and rural areas just north of the Pinckney State Recreation Area in central Michigan. This section of the multi-use trail surface is mainly crushed stone. The trail is most commonly used by hikers, joggers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers as sections of the trail are a little rough for road biking but the trail is continually being improved. The trail has multiple access points providing bikers and hikers with lots of different trip options. The trail is very level and easy to follow making it a great option for riders of all skill levels. The trail does continue further east past Pinckney giving riders the option of customizing a longer trip if desired.
