On this route you will leave the Accokeek Firehouse and embark on lightly-traveled, paved country roads. The roads gently meander over mostly flat terrain and afford spectacular scenery ranging from thick, lush forest to vast farm fields and small towns. The majestic Potomac River can be spotted across fields for one short stretch of the ride and you will travel through Chapel Point State Park, a historic park at the confluence of the Port Tobacco and Potomac Rivers. Other points of interest include several attractive churches and the Port Tobacco One Room School Museum.
