This forest preserve contains 800+ acres of diverse terrain consisting of wetlands, woodlands, tallgrass prairie, ponds, and two small lakes that all provide excellent scenery and opportunity for outdoor recreation and wildlife viewing. This hike follows trail alongside the lakes as well as sections that lead through the southern section of the preserve through open prairie. The trails are multi-use and are mostly used for hiking and biking. The trails within the preserve also connect to the DuPage River trail which provides lots of additional hiking and biking options through the area.
