Moraine Hills State Park is a beautiful area that offers miles of trails that travel through diverse terrain and vegetation full of wild scenery and wildlife. The state park is comprised of wetlands, marshes, prairies, ponds, lots of hills, a lake, and the Fox River. This hike utilizes multiple trails within the park to complete both a large loop and small loop for a good tour of the area. The park offers great opportunity for wildlife viewing and birdwatching. The trails are multi-use and are mostly crushed gravel and mowed grass. There are lots of connecting trails and spur trails that can provide visitors with the option of customizing a longer or shorter hike through the park. The state park also offers boating and fishing on the lake and picnic areas.
