The Upper Snake River region Stinking Springs trail is open from May 1st to November 30th and closed during the winter months for mule deer habitat. The hike goes across Kelly Mountain through the partly forested mountains. There are vegetation changes with grass and shrub-lands to sparse timbered canyons. While continuing through the Targhee National Forest be cautious of mountain bike and ATV users. Take plenty of water, food and supplies for this long day hike.
