The ride starts up the North Fork of Deer Creek road, and the climbing gets done first as the ride goes through fir and pine forest along an open south facing slope. After that, the ride connects to the Deer Creek Trail for a downhill ride as it loops back. There are beautiful refreshing creeks, wildflowers, and high alpine meadows that encompass the ride as well.
