The Little Van Buren trail starts at the old Slate Creek administrative site near Slate Creek Road. The route starts in the Hurley Timbered Bench and follows along Little Van Buren Creek with difficult grades. After going along the border of No Business Creek Research Natural Area, it ends at Slate Point Lookout. This is a challenging ride but the views are excellent from the lookout.
