A short hike in the Payette National Forest that traces through grassy meadows just below Lava Ridge. There are a few creek crossings as it follows along the Bolton Creek and intersects with Elkhorn Creek. The hike ends up at the lakes where brook trout are stocked and there are wonderful vistas of the beautiful ridge and Lava Butte.
