Davis Basin is located in the Caribou National Forest just west of Clifton. It is a fairly easy hike that is perfect for beginners. The trail follows the Clifton Creek Road in the highly elevated forests and shrublands. Some interesting features that exhibit the basin include; Standing Rock Spring and Poison Spring. There are also great views of Weston, Buck, and Old Baldy peaks. Beautiful Fall foliage can be seen when in season.
