Located north of Fairfield, the ride heads west from Couch Summit to the Salt Creek Corrals on Forest Road 010. It's a steady climb to Miller Creek, and the ride passes by numerous junctions. Be sure to stay on Forest Road 010 up until the Miller Creek Trail. From there the ride descends to Big Smoky Creek with some sections that may need to be hiked. Some users do an out-and-back ride for whatever distance is comfortable, while others like to go one way and use a shuttle. It would become a challenging climb if you were to do a full out-and-back.
