The Benton Saddle is a short but difficult hike leading into the Hitt Mountians of Washington County. The route encounters the West Brownlee Creek with some water crossings. It then passes by Tool Cache before reaching the Hitt mountain trail near Hitt Mountain Group Camp. Ponderosa pine, Douglas-fir, grand fir, and western larch make up the forest here.
