This loop hike located in the 5700-acre Barr Hammock Preserve explores a large wetland area by traveling atop a set of levees that circles through the preserve. The large area of wet prairie makes the preserve an excellent destination for birdwatching. The trails are open to hikers and bikers but horses and dogs are not allowed due to the large number of alligators in the area. The preserve has set hours of operation that vary depending on the time of year.
