Tollhouse Road is one of the steepest roads, if not the steepest, in the Fresno area. This is a challenging ride that follows country roads which begin through farmlands and gently rolling hills and then climbs into the mountains and forests. There are several opportunities for mountain views from beginning to end. Most of the traffic is found in town where the ride begins. The country roads are narrow, be cautious of vehicles. The ride consists of one climb with a few hairpin turns on the ascent and descent beginning at mile 26. Food, water, and restrooms can be found in Tollhouse at mile 26, in Auberry at mile 46, and again in Prather at mile 50.
