Beginning in the old gold mining town of Sutter Creek, this ride leaves the downtown area and climbs through the grassy hillsides and woodlands to an even smaller town, Volcano. Just before the town and at the end of the climb, the ride passes Daffodil Hill where the McLaughlin family has planted and cared for daffodils and tulips for over 100 years. The return route, follows Sutter Creek along a narrower road back to town. Main Street in downtown Sutter Creek is lined with antique shops, bed and breakfasts, and restaurants. You will also find a few shops in Volcano.
