This trail follows a section of the old Sugar Pine Railway that use to run a total of 70 miles during the 1900's. The railway hauled logs along the Stanislaus River for more than 50 years. Sugar Pine Railway Trail is a gentle grade wide path that is well shaded by a thick forest. It follows the Stanislaus River through the forest and passes an open meadow before reaching Old Strawberry Road where it ends.
