This paddle trip follows the Stanislaus River beginning from the historic town of Knights Ferry and ending at Orange Blossom Park. The river cuts through lava cliffs and woodlands, offering scenery and a cool shaded place during hot summer months. River access is available year-round, however, the best time to go is between spring and summer. Higher flows from water released at the dam are generally during fall.
