The Slickrock Trail is a short but very challenging and scenic ride that pases through the Union and Utica recreation areas in the Sierra Nevads of eastern California. The ride is rated as difficult due to steep descents, water crossings, large boulders, solid rock sections, tight turns, steep-walled canyons and more. The ride should only be attempted by experienced drivers operating modified SUVs that are equipped to handle to the terrain and the possible body damage that may incur. Rock sliders are highly recommended. There are some great camping spots along the route and there are also great opportunities for hiking and biking while visiting the area as well.
