This is a loop trail through the hills of San Juan Capistrano which follows a dirt road through rolling grassy hills and along a ridge where there are excellent ocean views. The only shade on the trail is along the first section where the dirt road is bordered by trees, be sure to bring plenty of water for this hike. The best time to go is during spring when the hillsides are a vibrant green and filled with colorful wildflowers.
